NACTS and SCERP (Southwest Consortium for Environmental Research and Policy) co-sponsored the first group of Student Sustainability Fellows at ASU in Spring 2010.  Fellows learn how research on environmental issues related to the U.S.-Mexico border region can impact public policy through working on real challenges for a client.  Each fellow received a stipend of $1,000 and was mentored by an ASU faculty member and NACTS Director Rick Van Schoik, who served as the public policy mentor. A group of 6 fellows comprised of ASU undergraduate and graduate students researched various topics.
