Border Security Operations and Arizona’s New Migration Law
<p>It is worth revisiting where we are on border security in light of the events that prompted Arizona’s announcement of a border plan, and the subsequent passage of a stringent state law concerning immigration enforcement. In this article we will address the security operations the United States, Canada, and Mexico are currently utilizing. Additionally, we look at how these security measures are implemented, and we offer recommendations which we believe will strenghten commerce and border crossings. Finally, we highlight Arizona's border security plan. </p>

College of Design</p><p>ASU faculty and students created this report for the City of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to aid in the development of the vitality in the downtown area of Nogales by transforming the district into an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable urban space. The vision is also to engage citizens, businesses owners, land owners, and municipal authorities in a collaborative effort of city revitalization.</p>

NACTS Cross Talk Series
<p>The Cross Talk series was developed as a way to help both North American academics and government practitioners engage on a broad range of issues fundamental to the shared security, competitiveness and sustainability of North America. Cross Talk I was held in Tempe, Arizona in February 2008. Cross Talk II was held in Washington, DC in February 2009 at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in conjunction with the launch of NACTS' report, "North America Next: A Report to President Obama on Building Sustainable Security and Competitiveness."</p>

North American Transportation Competitiveness Research Council/NACTS Working Papers Series (2007-2009)
